OUR SERVICES
Dr. Lenihan is a board certified Prosthodontist. This means he is a specialist in restoring teeth with dental implants, crowns, bridges, and dentures.
- Low Dose X-rays
- Our CBCT unit includes Planmeca Ultra Low Dose™ – a proprietary low dose 3D imaging protocol that enables CBCT imaging with an even lower patient radiation dose than standard panoramic imaging. This technology decreases effective patient doses significantly without a statistical reduction in image quality – helping us adhere to the ALADA principle (As Low As Diagnostically Acceptable).
- Implants
- When a tooth is lost due to injury or disease, a person can experience complications such as rapid bone loss, defective speech, or changes to chewing patterns that result in discomfort. Replacing a lost tooth with a dental implant can significantly improve your quality of life and health.
- Cosmetic Dentistry
- Cosmetic dentistry can improve the appearance of your teeth and smile. Cosmetic procedures may involve whitening your teeth, straightening them, improving their shape, replacing missing teeth and repairing chips. Not all of the available cosmetic dental procedures will work for everyone. Dr. Lenihan can help you determine which method will work the best for enhancing your smile.
- Crowns
- A dental crown is a cap or covering for an existing tooth. It can improve the way a decayed or broken tooth looks and make it stronger. Crowns can be made from porcelain, zirconia, gold alloy or a combination of porcelain and metal.
- Bridges
- Dental bridges literally bridge the space created by one or more missing teeth. A bridge is made up of two or more crowns for the teeth on either side of the space and a replacement tooth/teeth in between.
- Dentures
- A denture is a removable replacement for missing teeth and surrounding tissues. Two types of dentures are available — complete and partial dentures. Complete dentures are used when all the teeth are missing, while partial dentures are used when some natural teeth remain.
- Veneers
- A dental veneer is a layer of material placed over a tooth. Veneers can improve the appearance and function of a smile and protect the tooth’s surface from damage. Veneers can be made using either composite resin or porcelain.
- Preventive Care – Dental Cleaning
- Preventive care helps maintain good oral health. It’s a combination of regular dental check-ups along with developing good habits like brushing and flossing. Taking care of your teeth starts early in childhood and extends throughout the course of your life.
